Synopsis

Upon learning that the supposedly extinct dodo bird might still exist, ornithology UT Austin professor Paula Linberl, embarks on a cross-country expedition to unravel the mystery. Her first stop is in Mississippi, where she stumbles upon an unexpected discovery – fragments of a dodo beak that ignite her passion for the elusive 'ugly chickens.' With newfound hope, Paula follows a cryptic lead to Memphis, where rumors of a family having seen the dodo circulate. However, her search takes an unexpected turn when the woman she meets in Memphis directs her to her estranged sister, living in the remote Florida Keys.
